Built for women whose bodies didn’t fit the chart.
PCOS affects one in ten women. Most period apps weren’t built for them. Ovula is the one that is — across every phase of a hormonal life.
Our mission
Help women understand their own bodies without the noise.
Period tracking apps are built around a 28-day cycle. But for women with PCOS, that's a fiction. Cycles vary, ovulation skips, and “regular” never quite arrives.
Ovula started because the women building it were one of those one-in-ten. They were tired of apps that predicted the wrong dates, articles that quoted research no one could find, and advice written for a body type they didn't have.
“We wanted the app we couldn’t find — one that treats irregular as normal, and treats research as research.”
So we built it. A companion that learns from what you log, surfaces the patterns your body is already showing, and never invents the science to back it up.
What we believe
Three things that shape everything we build.
No mission statements that mean nothing. These are the rules we hold ourselves to, every release.
Real research, or none at all
Every claim cites a peer-reviewed study by name, journal, year, and finding. If we can’t verify it, we don’t say it. If a study is contested, we tell you. We never fabricate names, credentials, or quotes — full stop.
Designed for the one in ten
PCOS isn’t an edge case. We build for irregular cycles first, then fit regularity around that — not the other way around. The same approach extends across pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause.
Your data, your terms
We never sell your health data. Sharing with a partner is fully opt-in and granular — you decide what’s visible and you can revoke access anytime. Privacy is built into the app, not bolted on.
The research promise
Every article in Ovula cites a real study.
Wellness apps have a credibility problem — quoted experts who don’t exist, statistics with no source, “studies show” sentences that link to nothing. We’ve all read them.
Ovula is built differently. Our entire content library is sourced from peer-reviewed research — The Lancet, Frontiers in Endocrinology, the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology, and dozens of others. Every article in the app names the journal, the authors, the year, and the actual finding.

The four phases
One companion, across a lifetime.
Most apps stop where the user stops fitting their model. Ovula is built for the whole arc — and adapts as you move through it.

Pregnancy
Week-by-week guidance, with PCOS-aware tracking through every trimester.

Healing-focused. Recover, rebuild, nourish — through the fourth trimester and beyond.
Menopause
Tracks hormone shifts through perimenopause and after — gentle, never alarmist.
